Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred (or active CPA candidate)
- 2–5 years of recent public accounting experience

Pivot CPAs – Family Office Services
Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

Do you have hands-on experience supporting high-net-worth clients through a CPA firm or family office? At Pivot CPAs, we go Beyond Accounting—and that includes delivering white-glove service to our Family Office clients. We’re looking for an Experienced Family Office Associate to join our growing team and help manage the complex financial lives of successful individuals and families.
This is a high-touch, relationship-driven role that blends accounting, financial coordination, and strategic support. You’ll work closely with our Family Office Administrator, as well as directly with clients, attorneys, and investment advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations for high-net-worth clients, including bill pay, cash flow tracking, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial reports, net worth statements, and investment summaries
- Coordinate with external advisors (CPAs, attorneys, investment managers) on tax planning, estate planning, and compliance matters
- Support the preparation and review of individual, trust, and entity tax documents (in collaboration with the tax team)
- Maintain accurate records of client activity, including charitable contributions, capital calls, and distributions
- Assist with onboarding new family office clients and maintaining client portals and documentation
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance client service
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all client matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of experience working in a CPA firm or family office is required
- Tax background preferred
- CPA license a plus
- Strong understanding of financial statements, investment reporting, and estate/trust structures
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, bill pay platforms, etc.)

Role Overview
We’re seeking a Client Accounting Specialist /Outsourced Controller to manage day-to-day accounting operations for small business clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping and accounting skills who enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical financial insights.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in public accounting
- Experience acting as outsourced accounting or a controller for small business.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee client accounting operations, including AR/AP, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports
- Assist clients with budgeting and cash flow tracking
- Maintain organized workflows and documentation for multiple clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a public accounting or outsourced controller role
- Familiarity with small business industries such as real estate, professional services, construction, and other entrepreneurial ventures.
